About

Suzette Ann Moss LL.B.

Founder and Principal Lawyer

Welcome to Moss Law. I have practiced as a lawyer for over 20 years in multiple jurisdictions. For the past 13 years, I have worked exclusively in the field of Family Law. I take pride in my work and embrace the opportunity to assist a wide cross-section of clients navigate complex and high-conflict family law matters with compassion, integrity and empathy.

I provide comprehensive family law services with an individualized, compassionate, and strategic approach. My ultimate goal is to support clients through their difficult transitions, helping them find workable solutions and positive new beginnings in a timely and cost-efficient manner.

Where appropriate, I steer my clients towards resolving the legal issues arising from their separation and divorce by way of various Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) processes including lawyer negotiation, collaborative practice, mediation, and arbitration.

However, if an out-of-court settlement of your case is not possible, I am a skilled litigator who will fearlessly and strategically advocate for clients in the courtroom. I understand that litigation can be daunting for many clients, so I take the time to explain and clarify legal concepts to clients and guide them through the process.

I attended Norman Manley Law School in Jamaica and hold an Ontario-accredited Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) degree from the University of the West Indies. I was called to the Ontario Bar in 2010 and am a proud member of the Law Society of Ontario (LSO), the Durham Region Law Association (DRLA), and the Collaborative Practice Durham Region (CPDR). Also, I serve as a pro bono advice lawyer at Luke's Place. I have lived in the Durham Region for 18 years and enjoy reading, traveling, hiking, and spending quality time with family and friends.

My team at Moss Law embraces the opportunity to serve your needs.
